Cardiology consultant Dr. Asif Qasim works as an NHS consultant at King's College Hospital and Croydon University Hospital, where he also serves as Clinical Director. He offers patients in Croydon and central London private cardiac services. He received honors and accolades for clinical medicine and research after he graduated from the University of Cambridge. In Cambridge, Birmingham, and London, he received his internal medicine and cardiology training. To finish his PhD in cardiovascular stem cell biology, he went back to Cambridge. Dr. Mendall earned honors degrees from Middlesex Hospital in 1985 and Cambridge University in 1982, respectively. He conducted his studies at Guy's and St. George's Hospitals, where he received his specialized gastrointestinal training. He was appointed Senior Lecturer at St. George's Medical School and Consultant Gastroenterologist at Croydon University Hospital in 1995. In 1998, he was chosen for Fellowship in the Royal College of Physicians. Dr. Mendall is the director of endoscopy at Croydon University Hospital and the British Society of Gastroenterology's delegate to the London Strategic Health Authority. He serves on a variety of local and national committees and is a Fellow of the American Gastroenterology Association. Dr. Mendall has published or contributed to more than 70 original works, including several books. His primary areas of study are dyspepsia, irritable bowel syndrome, inflammatory bowel illness (particularly the impact of nutrition on Crohn's disease), and the body's reaction to inflammation. His primary clinical interests include cancer, dyspepsia, irritable bowel syndrome, and inflammatory bowel disease in addition to diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy. Graduate of the University of Aberdeen, Dr. Nnenna Osuji completed general medical training in intensive care, pulmonary medicine, infectious diseases, gastroenterology, and haematology before deciding to pursue a career in this field. She received world-class training in haemato-oncology and bone marrow failure states in South West London. She continued her studies at the Institute of Cancer and Royal Marsden Hospital, where she earned a doctorate in medicine with a focus on diseases of the mature T-cells. Dr. Brincat is a consultant specialist in nephrology (kidney medicine) and general medicine who has been practicing since 2011. He is now employed by Shirley Oaks Hospital in Croydon and St. George's University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in London. He completed his medical studies at the University of Malta in 1999 and was granted membership in the Royal College of Physicians (UK) in 2003. He then relocated to the UK to complete his general medicine and nephrology specialty training. His specialized training took place in the South London Deanery at some of the most renowned hospitals in the nation, including the Guy's and St. Thomas's Renal and Transplant Centre, the King's College NHS Foundation Trust Renal Unit, and the St. George's NHS Foundation Trust Renal and Transplant Unit. Before studying medicine at Guy's Hospital in London, Mr. Bhupal Chitnavis was raised in West London. His early training in neurosurgery began with the late Professor Edward Hitchcock in Birmingham and continued with Professor Lindsay Simon at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery. Prior to finishing the majority of his neurosurgical training at King's College Hospital, he also spent time training at Great Ormond Street. Professor Anthony Strong and his senior colleague Richard Gullan encouraged him to take an interest in spinal surgery while he was there. In Utrecht, he studied high flow vascular bypass methods under Cornelius Tulleken. His primary area of interest is spinal surgery, namely complex stabilization and the creation of innovative apparatus. With more than 20 years of expertise, Mr. Malik is a consultant neurosurgeon at King's College Hospital in London. With particular experience in minimally invasive, endoscopic, keyhole surgery, he is recognized as a leader in difficult spine surgery. He created King's College Hospital as a training center for endoscopic spinal surgery, instructing junior doctors in these operations, and he has invented a number of endoscopic spinal treatments. He is one of the few surgical references for the United Kingdom. Mr. Jig Patel is a consultant orthopedic surgeon with a focus on fractures, trauma, and all knee and hip conditions. He received his medical degree from Southampton University Medical School in 1991, and the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital and other significant London teaching hospitals served as the foundation for his orthopaedic surgical training. Jig had the good fortune to complete a one-year fellowship in hip and knee surgery in London, Ontario, Canada.
