The Montreal Children's Hospital offers newborns, kids, and teenagers the best possible medical care. Tens of thousands of kids and families from all throughout Quebec and beyond seek our medical specialists' care each year. We provide patient care in both French and English, and a professional team of medical interpreters as well as several hospital employees offer interpreter services in more than 40 languages. The true ethos of the hospital—a magnificent fusion of compassion, inventiveness, unwavering standards, and commitment to public service—that has defined the Children's since its inception is what distinguishes it from other medical facilities. A paediatric teaching hospital with tertiary care, the Montreal Children's Hospital is connected to McGill University. Additionally, it is the only paediatric institution that provides care for McGill RUIS Patients. DOCTORS
Dr. Dancea serves as co-director of the GCHM, director of the cardiology division, associate chair of finance, and chair of the MSSA budget subcommittee at the Montreal Children's Hospital, among other positions. Dr. Dancea's genuine concern for his patients, his staff, and the organisation as a whole, as well as his initiative in developing a special and cutting-edge Graduate Certificate in Healthcare Management programme in partnership with the McGill Desautels Faculty of Management. Dr. Tchervenkov is a professor of surgery at McGill University and the director of cardiac surgery at Montreal Children's Hospital. At McGill University, he received training in general surgery, cardiovascular surgery, and thoracic surgery. At the Boston Children's Hospital and Harvard Medical School, he served as Chief Resident in paediatric heart surgery alongside Aldo Castaneda. The University of Queensland served as Dr. Mitchell's last medical school, and Sydney Children's Hospital served as his paediatric residency. He had two clinical fellowships in paediatric bone marrow transplantation while specialising in paediatric haematology/oncology at the University of Minnesota in the United States and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in the United States. Pediatric neurologist Dr. Maryam Oskoui is an Associate Professor at the Departments of Neurology and Neurosurgery. She has been given a FRQ-S Clinical Research Scholar Junior 2 award. For the Guideline Formulation Subcommittee of the American Academy of Neurology, Dr. Oskoui serves as an expert in evidence-based methodology. Dr. Oskoui leads the Canadian Neuromuscular Disease Registry Spinal Muscular Atrophy Working Group, is a member of Muscular Dystrophy Canada's Scientific Advisory Council, and is an investigator in numerous clinical trials for paediatric neuromuscular diseases. A pioneer in the discipline of paediatric neurosurgery, Dr. Farmer is a professor in the McGill departments of paediatric surgery, neurology and neurosurgery, surgery, and oncology. He received his MDCM and BSc (Hons Neurophysiology) from McGill University, where he also trained in neurosurgery and won the Penfield/McNaughton Prize. He then pursued a fellowship in paediatric neurosurgery at the New York University Medical Center. View Profile
