Acute care hospital St. Paul's Hospital is situated in the heart of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. It is the oldest of the seven healthcare institutions run by Roman Catholic nonprofit Providence Health Care. There are numerous medical and surgical programmes at St. Paul's, including cardiac services, kidney care, an advanced structural heart disease programme, and North America's biggest Addiction Fellowship programme. St. Paul's is open to patients of all faiths. The Pacific Adult Congenital Heart Disease unit resides there as well. It is one of the medical school's teaching hospitals at the University of British Columbia. The number of employees at St. Paul's Hospital is about 4000. The hospital's land in downtown Vancouver was sold to Concord Pacific for roughly $1 billion, it was revealed on August 12, 2020. The new St. Paul's Hospital, scheduled to open in the False Creek Flats district in 2027, will be built using the money from this sale, according to Providence Health Care, the hospital's operator.
