National Heart Centre Singapore | Singapore , Singapore

Profile (Overview)

A national and regional referral centre for cardiovascular illnesses is the National Heart Centre Singapore (NHCS). NHCS, a pioneer in cardiovascular care in Singapore, was founded in 1998. A one-stop shop for all cardiac care, including preventive, diagnostic, therapeutic, and rehabilitative services, is offered by NHCS. It is Singapore's only facility for heart and lung transplants. Over 120,000 outpatient consultations, 9,000 interventional and surgical procedures, and 10,000 inpatients are handled annually by NHCS. Its clinical outcomes for coronary bypass surgery, balloon angioplasty with stenting, and heart attack treatment have been demonstrated to be comparable to global benchmarks. In Newsweek's ranking of the top 50 hospitals worldwide and first in Singapore for the cardiology specialty in 2022, NHCS came in at number one. SingHealth, Singapore's largest healthcare organisation, includes NHCS as a member. A whole spectrum of multidisciplinary and integrated medical care is available through SingHealth. The group consists of five National Specialty Centers (National Heart Centre Singapore, National Cancer Centre Singapore, National Dental Centre Singapore, National Neuroscience Institute, and Singapore National Eye Centre), four hospitals (Singapore General Hospital, KK Women's and Children's Hospital, Changi General Hospital, and Sengkang General Hospital), community hospitals (including Sengkang Community Hospital, Bright Vision Hospital, and Outram Community Hospital), and a university.
